우리 교회는 미주한인교회에서 첫번째 순교자(이주헌/이계월 선교사. 러시아 하바롭스크)를 낸 교회로서 '선교지향적 교회'입니다.
매년 3월 마지막 주일을 '순교기념선교주일'로 지키며 그 주일 전체 헌금을 선교헌금으로 사용하고 있습니다.
또 이주헌순교기념재단을 통해 5년동안 100명의 현지인 목회자를 세우고, 100개의 현지인 교회를 개척하고자 하는 '5/100선교비전'을 감당하고 있습니다.
현재 미얀마, 네팔, 그리고 쿠바에 신학교 학생들을 돕고 졸업 후 개척비용을 후원하고 있습니다.
또한, 우리 교회는 현재 우리 교회에서 부목사님으로 섬기셨던 두 가정을 뉴욕(YWAM/하이티)과 터키(KBOM)에 파송하였으며, 여러 선교 단체와 12명의 협력 선교사와 협력하여, 인도, 북한, 베트남, 기니비사우, 하이티, T국, 미얀마, 베네수엘라, 쿠바, 네팔에 선교활동을 이어가고 있습니다.
We are a missional church.
The first missionary martyrs sent by a Southern Baptist Korean church, Chu Hon Yi and Kye Wol Yi (Khabarovsk, Russia), were faithful members here and our first missionary-deployed family.
We have since dedicated the last Sunday service of March as “Missions and Martyrdom Sunday,” where all offering given is directed for missions.
Our current vision for missions is to raise 100 local pastors and 100 local church plants in the next 5 years, through the Chu Hon Yi/Kei Wol Yi Memorial Missionary Fund.
We call this the ‘5/100 Missions Vision’ and are currently sponsoring tuition for seminary and providing seed funding for church plants for students and pastors in Myanmar, Nepal, and Cuba.
In addition, we have sent two of our former pastors as missionaries to New York (YWAM/Haiti) and Turkey (KBOM).
We are also partnering with 12 missions organizations and missionaries serving in India, North Korea, Vietnam, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, nation “T”, Venezuela, Cuba, and Nepal.
